The 60th Reunion of Marietta High School Class of 1950 will be on September 3rd and 4th at the Marietta Legion Hall on 8th and Wooster Streets. Social Hour on the 3rd is at 7:30pm, and on the 4th at 6:30pm. Dinner follows, with reservations required. Members of the Classes of 1949 and 1951 welcome as well. The Little Kanawha Shrine Club Poker Run will be on September 4th in Elizabeth. Signup begins at 9am, and is $10 a rider. The run is 5.2 miles east outside of Elizabeth on Rt. 5 to Chestnut Run Road. For more information, call (304) 275-3830 or (304) 474-3465.

The Christian Life Center will hold a concert featuring Pastor Dan Dean at their 22nd Annual Celebration on September 11th at 6pm.

The K.O.M. river Knitting Guild will meet on September 13th at 7pm in the meeting room of the First United Methodist church, 1341 Juliana Street in Parkersburg.

The Union Williams Public Service District will hold its monthly board meeting on September 14th at 6:30pm at the board office on WV31 in Wood County.

There will be a flu shot clinic on September 14th from 7am until 3pm at the Washington County Fairgrounds Jr. Fair Buildings. Cost is $25 per dose for adults and $7 for children. The American Legion Post 750 will hold a Strip Steak or Chicken Dinner on September 18th from 5pm until 8pm. Cost is $10 for Steak, $7 for Chicken Dinner and $5 for a no-meat meal.

The Harrisville Moose Lodge 944 will sponsor the annual Ritchie County Humane Society Elimination Dinner, which benefits the Humane Society’s general operating fund on September 18th. Tickets are $25. Social hour is 6pm, dinner starts at 7pm. For tickets, call (304) 643-2696.

The Rollin Rebels, M.C. will sponsor a Medical Benefit Poker Run/Chicken Dinner for Jack “Radar” Briesemeister on September 19th at Good fellows Park. The 1st Annual Tack Swap and Yard Sale will be on October 8th and 9th at the Barlow Fair Grounds Dining Hall. Times are on Saturday from 10am until 6pm and Sunday from 1pm until 6pm. The VFW Post 1212 will hold bingo every Monday and Thursday night, doors open at 4pm, bingo starts at 7pm.
Free Health Screenings are available every Tuesday and Friday 7:30-11:30 a.m. at Marietta Memorial Hospital. No appointment needed and this service is free and open to the public.

The Circle Of Hope is peer support group for adult citizens of Washington County who are recovering from mental illness. The group has meetings twice each Tuesday, from 3pm to 4:30 pm at the St Luke’s Lutheran Church and from 7pm until 8:30pm at Marietta Memorial Hospital. The Washington County Bar Association, with the assistance of the Southeastern Ohio Legal Services offers free legal clinics the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Marietta Memorial Hospital is offering Cardiac Rehabilitation exercise classes 3 times every week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This class is available to those recovering from heart disease. Therapists will be monitoring your heart rate, blood pressure and your oxygen levels during the class. A physicians order is required. Call (740) 376-5577 for more information.
