The American Legion Post 750 of Lowell, Ohio is holding a baked steak dinner on September 5th from 4:30pm until 7pm.
There will be an ATV Poker run on September 5th at the Jack DePue farm in Creston, WV. Registration begins at 9am, and you can start as soon as you register. You must return no later than 5pm. Cost is $10 per play. There will be door prizes, 50/50 drawing, concessions and a raffle. All prizes must be claimed by 5pm. The Veterans of Foreign Wars post #1212 will hold a cruise in on September 6th from 2pm until 6pm, with a rain date of September 13th at the same time. Registration is $10, and all makes and models are welcome. Proceeds benefit the post, and its programs.
The Senior Olympics will be held from September 9th until September 11th at the Gilmer County Recreational Center in Glenville, WV. All seniors ages 55 and older are invited to attend. Free Health Screenings are available every Tuesday and Friday 7:30-11:30 a.m. at Marietta Memorial Hospital. No appointment needed and this service is free and open to the public.
The Circle Of Hope is peer support group for adult citizens of Washington County who are recovering from mental illness. The group has meetings twice each Tuesday, from 3pm to 4:30 pm at the St Luke’s Lutheran Church and from 7pm until 8:30pm at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
